Palmetto is located on the west coast of Florida just north of Bradenton.

Palmetto is a beautiful city with a rich history. Palmetto Historical Park seeks to preserve that history for future generations.

Several public parks with athletic and picnicking facilities are available.

Palmetto is just a few miles away from the beautiful Gulf of Mexico and Manatee County’s inviting public beaches.

If you are visiting Palmetto make sure to visit Emerson Point Park located on Snead Island. The Park is located at the end of 17th Street West where the Manatee River meets the Gulf of Mexico. There are several hiking trails, but you can also take your bicycle. Don´t miss the Observation Tower.

Other things to see are:

- Blackstone Park
- Bradenton Yacht Club
- Regatta Pointe Marina
- Riverside Park
- Riverside Plaza
